VÍM, CO JÍM

Have you ever tried changing your lifestyle? If so, what grade would you give yourself? Changing one’s habits is not as straightforward as it may appear. Changes need to be long-term.

It is relatively simple to maintain a regular exercise routine, alter one’s diet, or integrate more physical activity into one’s daily schedule for a few days. However, these changes become more challenging to sustain for a few weeks. Those who persevere for several months may be considered to have been successful.

It is clear from the research we have conducted: the length of time people maintain their lifestyle changes is critical. In collaboration with the Vím, co jím (I Know What I Eat) initiative, we developed a mobile application to assist people in initiating a sustainable lifestyle changes. We came up with the 60 Days Active and Healthy project.

We created dozens of different challenges for the application. Because a healthy lifestyle encompasses more than just exercise and nutrition, we have also incorporated relaxation challenges.

The content has been designed to appeal to a broad demographic, including young and old, men and women, boys and girls. Anyone who downloaded the application could simply log in to see the challenges and start completing those that appealed to them. Users could choose from the more traditional ones, such as steps walked, kilometres run and kilometres cycled. For those seeking a more challenging experience, we have prepared challenges associated with cold exposure training and other less usual activities. Those wishing to work out with our trainer could do so via online streaming.

Additionally, users were able to share their healthy recipes with others, sign up for vegetarian days or perhaps show off their healthy breakfast.

In 60 days, we had over 8,000 users join our programme and actively sign up to the challenges.

Like any competition, our project was designed to reward winners at the end. But this time we did not focus on who did the best. In order not to discourage participants with lower scores, we drew lots to determine the winners.

In total, we gave away 200 prizes, which we received from our partners who helped us with the project.

The results of the implementation exceeded our expectations. First of all, we were very pleased with the positive feedback from users and fans of Vím, co jím. In just 60 days, we successfully engaged with more than 8,000 users. We received thousands of comments on the contest posts on social media. The app has been rated an impressive 4.9 out of 5 in the App Store and 4.4 out of 5 in the Google Market.

And we are not stopping here.

The results have encouraged us to continue, and we are planning further rounds of similar challenges through our mobile application in partnership with the Vím, co jím initiative.

We will help you achieve your goals
