CAMPAIGN ON TICK-BORNE ENCEPHALITIS
ASSIGMENT
GOAL
Ticks carry dangerous diseases, including tick-borne encephalitis. In a campaign to promote the tick-borne encephalitis vaccine, we worked to educate the public about the benefits of vaccination.
The majority of people have a negative perception of ticks. The vast majority of us regard them as dangerous and ugly creatures best avoided. But there is a catch. Ticks have become so widespread in our country that it is virtually impossible to avoid them, even on our highest mountains.
The consequences of such an encounter can vary. In addition to the unpleasant bite and subsequent itching, the tick is a carrier of dangerous diseases, including tick-borne encephalitis.
Nevertheless, this risk can be effectively mitigated through the use of a vaccine.
In a campaign to promote the tick-borne encephalitis vaccine, we worked to educate the public about the benefits of vaccination.
As a communications agency, our objective is to reach audiences directly in the environments in which they consume or engage with content. We communicate the topic in their favourite programmes, magazines or newspapers, utilise affinity groups on social media and precisely targeted messaging, and also participate in various events.
Regarding this particular campaign, we had a comprehensive communication plan prepared for each target group, including the most effective visuals and wording to maximise the impact of the campaign.
To raise awareness of the disease, we utilised formats in the communication campaign that had the greatest potential to reach a wide group of potential customers.
The implementation led to a significant increase of over 17% in the number of administered vaccinations against tick-borne encephalitis. This figure provides irrefutable evidence of the efficacy of the selected communication campaign and media mix.
